Colder weather conditions bring dry skin

Sebaceous or oil glands moisten and protect your skin from dryness, and they are mainly found on the face. Since there are very few sebaceous glands on the arms and legs it's important to regularly moisturize these parts of the body, particularly during the winter or if you live in a dry climate. If you have dry skin, eczema or psoriasis, you may notice that your skin condition gets worse over the fall and winter months.

The reason is that your skin is exposed to the drying effects produced by the combination of indoor heat, wind and outdoor cold temperatures. Look for a product that contains amino-vitamins, botanicals and other nourishing ingredients to help replenish your skin’s needed hydration levels, restore its natural moisture barrier and provide long-term dryness relief. If you have sensitive skin, select a formulation that’s hypo-allergenic and free from potentially irritating ingredients, such as fragrances and preservatives.
