Rosacea is a condition that is characterized by general redness of the facial area, and sometimes the neck. Lasers have been used in dermatology to treat a variety of skin conditions, as well as remove excessive hair, and unwanted tattoos. This technology, while relatively new, is now widely known for its benefits among patients. Intense Pulsed Light, or IPL, is a related technology, and is also a powerful tool in the treatment of redness of the skin.

The Cutera 560, an IPL, produces a specific range of light, which eliminates redness of the skin from Rosacea, and for some cases, sunburn. IPL also removes brown spots, freckles, and liver spots caused by accumulated exposure to sunlight. For more involved procedures such as the removal of blood vessels from facial region, IPL is often used in conjunction with traditional laser treatment.

If you suffer from Rosacea, IPL treatment may work for you. Combined with traditional prescription creams like Rosasol™, IPL can make a significant difference in social perception. Often it just takes a quick jump start in improving the appearance of one’s skin, to start a healthy cycle of taking care of improved personal care, and improved appearance.
